LITTLE ROOM

This room is for children who join us from 8-20 months They will start of their time at Chapel Grange in the little room. In here we have a maximum of 6 children and we have 2 key workers in here with the children who will be responsible for everything from nappy changing to being responsible for the children’s development and happiness and welfare.

It is important that we have the mixed age groups as this is a key part of the Montessori philosophy.  

The children in here will follow the Montessori ethos and the staff will be encouraging to help them to do things by themselves. We have treasure baskets for heuristic play and lots of early Montessori toddler materials for the children to explore together. We want the children in this room to be happy and confident and enjoy their time at nursery and feel settled when they are away from their parents. This room is warm, small, inviting and cosy – the perfect environment for our little people.
